Red
Sunday’s color is red. 


Red has always been a prevalent color in my life. Growing up I was nieve in thinking that red if just a color, and the recurrence in events, opportunities, and general life was just a coincidence. 
When I moved to Thailand, I discovered that the color Red holds so much meaning in my life and the lives of others. 
The red in the Thai flag represents “The red stripes represent Thailand's blood spilt in its bid to maintain independence.”
Thailand is one of the few countries in the world that always has independence from foreign powers. Thailand has always been a strong, independent nation with rich culture and history. Thailand has always been able to maintain independence while also sharing their culture with the world AND welcoming and appreciating other foreign cultures. Thailand will continue to grow as a strong and unique nation. 


Next, the meaning behind the importance of the color red on a Sunday is because of the god Surya. According to ancient customs in Thailand, there is an astrological rule (which has influence from Hindu mythology) that assigns a color to each day of the week based on the color of the God who protects the day or Navagraha. For example, the God of Sunday is Surya who has the color red. Surya is the sun and/or solar deity that is seen in various religions taking the form Helios (the greek equivalent) and Sol (the norse and roman equivalent). 


And then another connection I made was in the Catholic bible in Genesis 1
: God said “let there be light.” The phrase comes from the third verse of the Book of Genesis. In the King James Bible, it reads, in context: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The first day of creation is represented by Sunday.

The most impactful realization that red is an important color in my life is the realization that red has always been prominent in my mothers life. During her traditional Thai wedding with my father she wore red, her preferred vehicle color is red, and her choice of clothing (whether she realizes or not) tends to gravitate towards the color red. My mothers favorite color is yellow but she has always loved the bold power of the color red. 


Moving to Thailand has helped me realize the significance of been the smallest things, and I am so fortunate to be able to grow and embrace opportunities through my major life changes. Thank you!

Recently I have been getting a-lot of questions asking why I am so vocal when I am supporting other women who are also competing in pageants. I often get statements like “why? They’re your competition.” “Aren’t you afraid they’ll beat you?” “Aren’t you scared they’ll become more popular?” “You shouldn’t support your competition.” Etc…. 

Now, I understand those thoughts on the surface. Logically, most people wouldn’t publicly support the “competition.” But I do not view these women as competition. We aren’t competing AGAINST each other. We are competing WITH each other. We are all amazing, independent, strong women with unique goals and aspirations. The person who is my biggest competitor is MYSELF. I must constantly be working on my self-development and my personal best. I have to try to be the best I can be every single day. These women inspire me to share myself with the world. 

Each and every one of us has a different advocacies, different personalities, and different backgrounds. We each want to make a difference on the people around us. Why wouldn’t I want to support them? People around the world deserve to know how amazing these women are. 

I’ve had the amazing opportunity to meet, work, and train with some of the most inspirational women who compete in pageants. And I want people to know who they are. The larger their reach, the more they can help people and, in turn, the more I can help people. 

Miss Universe Thailand “Represents the voices of all women. We act as a platform for them to express their talent, intelligence and passion to the world.” I am choosing the Miss Universe Thailand platform because I believe in their mission. I want to be apart of their mission. I am here to support and appreciate all women and their accomplishments. And I am here to make a difference in everyone’s lives.

The Miss Universe organization is an “inclusive organization that celebrates women of all cultures and backgrounds and empowers them to realize their goals through experiences that build self- confidence and create opportunities for success.” My ultimate goal is to be able to walk the Miss Universe stage and embody the mission to support, educate, and appreciate people of all experiences.

Recently I was asked by @filipina_pageantry08 about my stance on climate change. I have not really formed an articulate opinion on climate change so I asked for some time to do a bit of my own research to increase my knowledge and form a formal opinion on the subject. I have previous overall knowledge on climate change like I know what causes climate change, how it affects the world and that there are various activist groups trying to combat the global issue. Therefore, I have consolidate a few reliable resources to increase my understanding about why Climate change is an important subject to focus on. Keep in mind all the information below has been found online, and I have listed the links to the websites at the end of the article. 

The Thai New Year just ended, and I wanted to share everything I learned about my ancestry/heritage this week! This was the first year ever I got to spend Songkran in Thailand with my family. It was such a new, and fun experience that I am so grateful I got to be apart of. 

Latin dance has originated from traditional dances in indigenous cultures of many countries including Mexico, South America, Central America and the Caribbean. Dance was essential in the community  ritual life in many cultures. Dances were performed during various types of rituals and festivals which created a symbolic representation of many cultural beliefs.
​Latin dance has a rich history rooted in the traditional Latin America. These dances were eventually  influenced Europe and Africa during and after European colonization of Latin America. As society progressed many latin dances were popularized by both musicians and dance companies. Because of the extensive, and rich history,  Latin dances have several different forms.
There are generally two different different categories of latin dance.  One being social Latin dancing, and the other being formal ballroom/Latin dancing.  Within formal Latin dancing there are five specific dances; the cha-cha, jive, paso doble, rumba and samba.  In International Latin or American Latin dance competitions these types of dances are usually performed.
Second, there is social Latin dancing.  Most social Latin dances can be observed in dance clubs, and what most people typically think of when wanting to learn latin dance.  Social latin dances are dances that have originated from Latin American and Caribbean countries.  These dances include (but are not limit to) salsa, bachata, merengue, cha-cha, rumba, and samba. I could write articles based on  each type of dance but right now a general overview will have to do. Popularity of a specific dance is determined by where you are. For example, bachata and merengue are more popular in the Dominican Republic rather than salsa.  Whereas in Cuba, salsa is the most poplar latin dance.  Additionally, salsa is considered the most popular latin dance where bachata is the second most popular. However, popularity is constantly changing. Almost a decade ago, bachata was not as popular as it is today.  And maybe in another ten years from now, a different dance my reign most popular.

I took my first Latin Dance Class at Muse by Metinee. I have an extensive background in dance, but I have never done anything close to latin dancing. I have taken 8 years of ballet and about 4-6 years of hiphop, but these dance styles were required during my times as a gymnast. 
For my beginner class at Muse by Metinee the instructor taught us the basics of salsa. We were all beginners so she was really great at taking her time to make sure we were comfortable with the steps and out bodies. The class was two hours longs and about 10minutes into the class I was already sweating. It was an amazing workout and it forced me to focus on my core and balance. Dancing is one of those sports where if you overthink you start to make mistakes. You need to feel the music in your heart and just do what your body wants you to do. You need to relax and go with the flow! 

As many people may know, I am preparing to compete for Miss Universe Thailand 2022. There is a lot I need to do to prepare for the competition. One of those things is working on confidence, balance, body movement, walking, and overall stage presence. Latin dance classes help in each of these areas. However, the area I struggle most in that these classes are supposed to help me in is my hip movement. I've been a model for over 10 years. Model walking and Pageant walking are very different. Models are more stoic and stiff where as pageant women are more elegant and flowwy. The main reason for this is that models are meant to advertise the close while pageant women are supposed to be presenting themselves. After taking a couple walking classes I quickly discovered that I need help moving my hips more. Hence, presenting latin dancing. 

If you want to get started as a social media influencer, I highly recommend creating your own Media Kit. 

First you may be asking me, what is a media kit? An influencer media kit is a digital document that lets your potential clients know everything about your work, personality, and rate as an influencer. A media kit highlights stats including details demographics, showcases your USP (unique selling proposition), and provides a brief overview of your brand and your achievements. There are various online resources that provide free or expensive services that can help you create a media kit. I personally don't like paying people for work that I can do myself so I did some research on free resources. I ended up landing on canva.com. This is a completely free resource that you just need to sign up using an email. Canva.com is a simple drag and drop website that you can download your own photos on as well as use their provided templets and elements. You basically have complete creative freedom for free. You have the option to pay for more perks and benefits, but everything I needed was provided in their basic package. I use canva.com for my Youtube Banners, my thank you cards, and my influencer media kit. I can download the prints in pdf form or jpeg as well as various other download options. 10/10 recommend using canva.com if you want to DIY any online creative work!

Having a platform you wholeheartedly support is crucial in making a positive impact on societies around the world. That is why I have chosen to make education the main focus of my platform. Volunteer teaching in Thailand is a powerful way that I will be able to make a difference. Teaching English will be the ultimate goal of volunteering. Through establishing a strong grasp of the English language, students in Thailand will be able to access greater opportunities in terms of further education and careers.
Volunteers are an extremely valuable resource to teachers and students. Volunteers not only benefit the community around them but also their own personal growth including sharpening teaching skills, becoming better leaders, and developing a sense of pride in contributing to students' success. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” as Nelson Mandela said. Education helps people become better, well-rounded citizens by influencing morals and increasing overall knowledge of society and the world as well as creating opportunities to obtain life-long career paths. Education shows society the importance of hard work and perseverance while also helping individuals mentally grow and develop. Therefore, through education, teachers are able to influence the improvements of society through the knowledge of science, history, rights, laws, and regulations. Specifically, learning languages through educational processes assists in the interactions with different people in order to share ideas, knowledge, and practices. Learning languages encourages people to live in harmony.
I believe a platform that revolves around serving the growth of children can be a positive, influential method to help the innocent humans make tremendous impacts in the future. ​
